Hypno Meditation in the wild…

It is so good for you…or so they say…

It is so natural and relaxing…or so they say…

No, animals have never climbed over that little wall, we are completely safe…or so they say…

And so we started our monthly full moon hypno meditation evening, in no other place than the amazingly tranquil and beautiful surroundings of…Pilanesberg Game Reserve!

I was over the (full) moon to hear that we had this opportunity to really connect and become one with nature again in this peaceful place. You don’t get that opportunity every day. And what better place to relax than in Mother Nature? To become aware of all the sounds of the evening, the frogs quacking, the birds chirping and far in the distance the sounds of the bucks and zebra’s…while slowly relaxing deeper and connecting to your own inner world…

And as we found our place sitting down on the green grass, our bare feet playing with it as everyone started becoming comfortable, just before starting the meditation I quickly asked one the game rangers if we would be remain undisturbed for the session. O yes he replied, we are completely safe here, no animal has climbed over that little wall surrounding us, I guess they can smell us and don’t like it, we can just relax and go ahead. And so we did, everyone slowly became comfortable, sitting or lying and I guided the group into a deeply relaxed and calm state, so that they could easily connect not just to their inner calmness, but also accessing their amazingly powerful resources helping them becoming more and more the person they are meant to be and live their life joyfully to the fullest and happiest.

As I was about to connect them on an even deeper level and I could see them relaxing into it, understanding their journey, I heard something behind me, a sniffing sound…but as I could see the group so relaxed I decided to just continue and help them taking it all in and connect to their amazing resources…and while I kept on talking to them, one of the members slowly opened their eyes, stared at me and then stared past me…hmm little odd, I still thought as he raised his arm, pointed at something behind me and started grasping for air…ther…ther..there he stuttered…I started turning around and couldn’t believe what I was seeing…standing behind me, not even 3 meters away, a huge rhinoceros staring me right into the eyes!!

Not too sure how to react, but somehow knowing it probably wouldn’t be the best idea to panic and scream, I decided to keep quiet…but as instinct took over, everyone slowly opened their eyes, the girl lying next to me jumped over her mother to the other side and the game rangers just uttered oh…they then stood up and gently tried chasing the rhino away from us. And I don’t know why, but it seemed the rhino was very happy being there and just didn’t want to leave. It took quite some effort getting him back over the wall and a bit of extra time getting the group to relax so deeply again, but after that it somehow felt easier and easier connecting them to their imagination and inner resources…

And I would never claim that hypnosis is so powerful it can even deeply relax a 4 ton rhino and it will probably always remain a mystery as to why the rhino was so attracted to joining our group that it decided to just go for it, even willing to scratch its belly over that little wall giving us the experience of a life time. But you can imagine that after this amazing ‘rendez vous’ the evening felt even more magical and made a deep impact on everyone.
